A Quick Story…
As my practice grew and I began selling work, I was often asked, “Do you teach?” My answer was always no. That changed when I attended an art retreat in Marrakesh, led by Nicholas Wilton (Art2Life). I arrived with questions, one of them being, “Why do I resist teaching?” Over the course of the week, through valuable conversations with artists at all stages of their journey, something shifted. By the end, I made a promise to myself: the next time someone asked if I teach, I would say yes and figure it out from there. And that happened 5 days after getting home!
Since then, I’ve led one and two-day workshops, facilitate group mentoring sessions in my studio, and offered private lessons. I was also honoured to be Artist in Residence at the Monet in Paris Brisbane exhibition, where I taught many participants how to “Paint like Monet.” You can find my upcoming workshops at Bienarté Fine Art School in Albion, or contact me directly to learn more about private mentoring and teaching opportunities.
