This piece (from the collection ‘Palm Trees of Queensland) tells of my home.

I have strong childhood memories, of landing in Australia and seeing tropical palm tress as I sign that the arduous journey from another land was over (UK). I made this journey across the globe many times. I wonder at their majestic quality and their strange shape and incredible strength.

The intuitive layers of acrylic paint, glazes, and graphite, create an ever-revealing piece of art that holds a vintage, neutral aesthetic from afar. And holds intense, rich detail close-up.

Finished with a beautiful, Blackwood float-frame and ready-to-hang.
